The question isn’t if New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez is corrupt. The question really is, how corrupt is NY Senator Chuck Schumer and the Democratic leadership not to immediately move to expel Menendez.
Gold bars? 500 grand hidden in a coat pocket? Trading favors? The last trial ending in a hung jury? Chair of Foreign Relations? Come on! What is there to think about.
Why wasn’t dumping Menendez an instant reflex by the Democratic Senate leadership?
How can Democrats complain about the Trump/GOP corruption if you can’t immediately enforce honesty from members in leadership in your own Party.
Menendez should leave the Senate, post haste. But it sure appears the Democratic Senate leadership shouldn’t be far behind him.
